She started her Obstetrics and Gynaecology career in 1980 in Hyderabad and then worked in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Shakira has ultrasound training in obstetrics and gynaecology. Her surgical experience includes instrumental vaginal deliveries and LSCS, laparotomies for gynaecological acute abdomen, myomectomies, perineal repair and abdominal hysterectomies. Dr. Shakira used to conduct regular lectures in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Medina Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
