Dr. Gautam JK Tawari qualified as a doctor from the prestigious Grant medical college and Sir JJ group of hospitals in Mumbai. He pursued MRCS in the UK before embarking on obtaining specialist orthopedic training in the UK. He has obtained M.Ch in Trauma & Orthopaedics and completed his FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons in UK. He undertook fellowship for advanced arthroscopic surgery (keyhole surgery) and arthroplasty surgery (Joint replacement surgery) for the shoulder & elbow joint at the Royal Derby hospital (UK) and acquired advanced Wrist & Hands Surgery skills at the renowned Pulvertaft Hand center in the United Kingdom. He also undertook fellowship in Hip & Knee Replacement at the Wrightington Hospital (UK). His practice has evolved around sports trauma and he holds a Diploma in Sports & Exercise Medicine (Dip.SEM) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland (GB&I). He has practiced as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the United Kingdom and gained experience from one the best orthopaedic centres in the world before returning to India and starting his practice. He has also undertaken extensive research in the UK and has obtained M.Sc in Health Science and Practice with the specialisation in Trauma & Orthopaedics research. He has read and presented extensively at National & International conferences and has published research in international journals. He specialises in Arthroscopy of Shoulder, Knee, Elbow, Wrist, Hip & Ankle joints. He also specialises in Sports Trauma and Sports related injuries. He also undertakes joint replacement surgery for shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger joints, knees & hip. .
