Dr. Sanghi is a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from The Grant Medical College where he secured the First Rank in the degree examination held by the University of Bombay and was awarded the Prince of Wales Gold medal. He was also awarded the CSP Gold medal by the University of Bombay for outstanding academic performance. Dr. Sanghi procured a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Neurology. He furthered his education internationally by obtaining a Fellowship in Paediatric Neurology and also a Certification in EEG at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. His expertise includes evaluation and treatment of children with Paediatric Epilepsy, Stroke, Headache, Neuromuscular disease, Cerebral Palsy and Childhood Developmental disorders such as Autism and ADHD. He also manages neurological emergencies in the Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Units. Dr. Viraj Sanghi has established Ika Children’s Centre in Mumbai with the goal of providing compréhensive care to children under one roof. He has realised his dream of creating an establishment that caters not only to the médical but also to the emotional needs of patients and their families. He is presently a Trustee of Neurology Foundation, the Treasurer of the Child Neurology Foundation and is a Life Member in the Child Neurology Group, Mumbai, the Indian Academy of Neurology and the Indian Epilespsy Association and Society and is a well respected member in the medical fraternity.
