Dr. Rajesh Khanduja after doing his graduation from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune and his post-graduation from Army Hospital (R & R), New Delhi he was being awarded with the “Fellowship in Nephrology” from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), New Delhi. Dr. (Col) Rajesh Khanduja was then posted to military hospital Jalandhar from Oct 2002 to Sep 2006 where he had been given the responsibility of establishing a Nephrology centre and a dialysis centre at Military Hospital Jalandhar for the Armed Forces for its serving and retired clientele. From September, 2006 Dr. (Col) Rajesh Khanduja was posted to Command Hospital Pune, an affiliated Hospital of AFMC. He was also involved in reviving the process of renal transplantation at the hospital. Subsequently he successfully performed 25 live related transplant and 2 cadaveric transplants. In July 2010 he got posted to Army Dialysis Centre, Delhi; the oldest Dialysis centre of the armed forces. The job involved OPD Nephrology services for the entire ECHS members and their dependants in and around Delhi NCR and the acute and chronic nephrology needs of this 1038 bedded hospital. Since January, 2013 Dr. (Col) Rajesh Khanduja started working as a Consultant Nephrologist at St Stephen’s Hospital, Delhi after taking premature retirement from the Indian Army. Subsequently from September, 2013 till date he has been working as a Senior Consultant Nephrology at Fortis, Vasant Kunj. Recently Dr. Khanduja has been honoured with the position of “Associate Director – Nephrology” at Fortis, Vasant Kunj. He has also held teaching appointment in AFMC Pune and was a Professor there.
