Yes, adults should definitely undergo vaccination, as immunity to many diseases weakens over time and some vaccines are specifically needed in adulthood. Commonly recommended adult vaccines include tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap/Td booster every 10 years), influenza (yearly), COVID-19, hepatitis B, HPV (till 45 yrs), pneumococcal (above 50 yrs or with chronic illness), and shingles (above 50 yrs). Certain vaccines like typhoid, hepatitis A, and rabies may be needed based on lifestyle, travel, or risk factors. It’s best to follow your family doctor’s personalized advice depending on your age, health conditions, and past vaccination history. Would you like me to prepare an age-wise vaccine checklist for adults?
