Dr. Malladi Srinivasa Sastry did his MBBS from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam and MRCPsych in England. He completed dual CCST in general adult and geriatric psychiatry and worked as consultant psychiatrist in England for 4 years before moving to Singapore in 2010. He developed services such as memory clinic and led community mental health teams and inpatient teams. He was a faculty member of YLL medical school, Singapore and Asst Adjunct professor with Duke-NUS medical school, Singapore. He had given several talks in conferences, workshops, training programs and public forums. He has had research publications and presentations in Conferences. He has been instrumental in setting up the innovative Arogyaraksha polyclinic and diagnostics, in Yelamanchili which aims to make good quality healthcare accessible to rural population in India. Clinics offers mental health assessments, treatment and education to users presenting with range of mental health problems of age range from childhood to elderly. Assessment and treatment are available for ADHD, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Conduct disorder, mood disorders such as depression, Anxiety, OCD, Psychosis, sleep problems, alcohol/ drugs/ smoking/ computer addictions and gambling, memory problems and various other mental issues. Apart from medications we offer therapies for stress/anger management, family therapy, CBT, child guidance, lifestyle guidance. We specialize in memory clinic. We also offer support to caregivers who look after their loved ones who suffer with various psychiatric problems . At Arogyaraksha, we value each and every patient’s unique needs. Understandably unlike other medical specialties, psychiatric consultation takes considerable amount of time as it includes assessment, treatment advise and counselling involving patient and family.
