More About Dr. Tarun Verma
Dr Tarun Verma completed his post-graduation in Internal Medicine in Armed Forces Medical College, Pune in 1999. After this he served as Physician in the Indian Army till 2005 when he was selected for DM course in Clinical Haematology in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. After completing DM course, he has served in four service hospitals as Clinical Haematologist till late 2017, when he took premature retirement from the Armed Forces.
Dr Tarun Verma has ten years of experience in Haematology excluding DM training. His area of expertise is Bone Marrow Transplant, as well as management of all malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions. He is credited with performing the first Autologous Stem Cell Transplant on a patient with Multiple Myeloma in Jammu & Kashmir in 2009. In 2013 he established a Bone Marrow Transplant Centre and a Haematology Centre in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In 2015, he moved to Army Hospital (Referral & Research) and participated in the ongoing transplant programme, having been involved in about 150 tranplants.
He was instrumental in initiating the Haploidentical (half-matched)
BMT programme in AHRR.
He has 6 national publications to his credit and has been invited as speaker to more than a dozen national conferences.
